SF Music Day

TBD

An all-day music festival featuring local musicians! I will be playing with Sarah Wilson, Nathan Clevenger, and the Circus Bella All-Star Band.

"SF Music Day was founded fourteen years ago to celebrate the Bay Area music community, and to encourage local audiences to explore and savor our region's diverse range of music. Each year, the daylong festival presents dozens of ensembles performing a staggering array of repertoire, from Baroque and classical works to contemporary compositions. SF Music Day has grown and thrived thanks to many presenting and collaborating partners. The first SF Music Day (then called Chamber Music Day) was held in 2008 at Temple Emanu-El, San Francisco, and featured 16 local chamber ensembles. Subsequent festivals were held at Old First Church, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the DeYoung Museum, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and most recently, at the War Memorial Veterans Building."

Commissioned as a musical component of the exhibition Our whole, unruly selves, this special 4-part series explores the rule-breaking and liberating potential of jazz. San Jose Jazz presents in-gallery musical performances on the second Sunday of each month, March–June 2022, 2–4pm. Each features different musicians representing San José's diverse communities.
